Om mig
- Nicolas Pejovic did his medical training at Uppsala University and at UCSD,
San Diego, USA. He completed his Medical Doctor qualification at Uppsala
University and specialisations in Paediatrics and Neonatology in Stockholm.
He works as a Senior Consultant in Neonatology, Sachs Children’s Hospital,
Stockholm, and is affiliated as a researcher in Global Health at the
Department of Public Health Sciences at Karolinska Institutet and the Centre
for International Health in Bergen, Norway.
He has worked and done research in Sweden, Norway, Uganda, Burkina
Faso and, Vietnam.
He is also the director of Tap4Life.org, a non-profit organization based in
Stockholm. Its mission is to improve global neonatal health care by
providing free mHealth applications for hospital staff both in high and
low-resource countries.

Forskningsbeskrivning
- Nicolas research aims to reduce neonatal mortality and morbidity with
research projects mostly in low-income-countries, like Uganda, Burkina Faso
and, Viet Nam, but also in Sweden. His projects have focused on postnatal
newborn collapse (SUPC), neonatal resuscitation in low-resource settings,
laryngeal mask airway (LMA) in newborn, heart rate monitoring using MHealth
platforms and training health staff in newborn resuscitation and essential
newborn care with the Helping Babies Breath (HBB) curriculum.
Undervisning
- Nicolas is an instructor in patient simulation at the CEPS (Concept for
Patient Simulation) at the South Hospital in Stockholm. He is also a HBB
instructor and has trained over 500 midwives in Africa. He has also trained
health staff for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
