Jane Yan

Jane Yan received her B.M. in Preventive Medicine from Xiamen University in 2019, and M.S. in Global Health from Karolinska Institutet in 2020. She was appointed biostatistician in the Unit of Biostatistics, Institute of Environmental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet in 2020, where she studied logic and inference, and discovered the close connections between science and fine art. She moved to the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics in 2024. Since 2024, she has also started conducting studies concerning the depression in women with premenstrual disorders. The emphasis of the studies is the threshold of significant and modifiable risk factors on menstrual cycle and reproduction, to strategically locate and focus on women who can be more benefit from primary healthcare. 

Jane is interested in how hypothesis in epidemiology and psychiatry studies can be supported by the classic theories of origins and develop in logic chains. For example, to what extent the rationality of syndromes might be elaborated by the fundamentals in maximum likelihood theories, or the natural overrides between the names of concepts cohappening from zero to one. The dynamics of these two aspects can depict the major causes as a relatively statical agreement.
