Om mig

  • I am a medical physicist certified in Mexico (2009) and Sweden (2021). After
    completing my MSc in Medical Physics at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de
    México, I moved to Sweden to pursue a PhD in Medical Sciences at Uppsala
    University. In 2016 I successfully defended my PhD thesis on the topic of
    computational micro/nanodosimetry for biological response estimation [1].
    Following this I attained a position as a postdoctoral researcher at the same
    institution where I dedicated my work to develop a nanodosimetric based RBE
    (relative biological effectiveness) model for hadron therapy.
    Since 2019 I am working as a medical physicist at the Karolinska University
    Hospital. Apart form clinical work, I continue doing research by leading
    projects on the subjects of RTQA for clinical trials and implementation of
    MR-only workflows in the clinic. Since 2018 I am a member of EURADOS in
    Working Group 6 dedicated to computational dosimetry. Most recently I have
    been selected to be part of the Young Editorial Board of EJMP Physica
    Medica.
