Biostatistics Core Facility - about us

The Biostatistics Core was charted in 2012 thanks to the support by Karolinska Institutet and the Region Stockholm (county council). Since its inception, it has collaborated with an increasing number of researchers in Stockholm and worldwide.

Meet our team

The backbone of the Biostatistics Core Facility are its biostatisticians. The quality of the provided service ultimately depends on them. Their competence and happiness are of utmost importance to us.

Anna Olofsson

Anna Olofsson has a Master's degree in statistics from Stockholm University. She has experience in the analysis of large datasets, genetic data, infectious diseases, and other statisitcal methods.

Ann-Louise Jensen

Ann Louise Jensen has a Bachelor's degree in statistics from Stockholm University. She has collaborated with colleagues with different background and has extensive experience with managing large data sets and woriking with authorities on processes and reports.

Ivette Raices Cruz

Ivette Raices Cruz has a doctoral degree in environmental science from Lund University and a Master's degree in applied mathematics, probability and statistics from the University of Havana, Cuba. She has experience as a clinical trial statistician and experise in Bayesian modeling, statistical analysis of clinical trials and methods for evidence synthesis such as pairwise and network meta-analysis. She is passionate about statistics and broadly interested in its applications in medicine.
