KIPN Funding inititiatives
KIPN offers a Collaborative Grant of SEK 300,000 SEK (including indirect costs) for new cross-laboratories and cross-departmental research projects.
Eligibility
The project must be related to pain and at least two applicants from different departments at KI. The applicants should be group leaders or equivalent and be affiliated to KI, at least one applicant should be part of KIPN. No recent collaboration between the two applicants (within the last five years).
Application
Applicants are required to submit a two-page proposal (excluding references). The proposal should include a motivation section outlining the purpose and significance of the proposed collaboration, as well as an assessment of its feasibility. It should also detail how the grant will be used and describe the expected outcomes or follow-up activities. A budget section is not required.
In addition, each applicant must provide a two-page CV, including a selection of key publications.
Review Process
- The scientific advisory board will be responsible for the full evaluation according to tthe Swedish Research Council's four basic criteria (Scientific quality of the project, Novelty and originality, Applicant's competence, Feasibility). The purpose of several basic criteria is to achieve a comprehensive assessment. In general, the scientific quality of the project is more of a focus when assessing the applications for project support. The criteria are assessed on a seven-point grading scale, with the exception of feasibility, which is assessed on a three-point grading scale.
In addition to the basic criteria, your application will also be assessed using an additional criterion (Relevance) on a 2-point grading scale.
- The steering group will be responsible for the final decision.
