2nd Annual Workshop of the Center for Cellular Cancer Therapy (C3T)
The Center for Cellular Cancer Therapy continues its annual tradition of bringing together leading experts and young and junior researchers to explore the cellular cancer therapy — from fundamental cytotoxic lymphocyte biology to clinical implementation.
Highlights from the 2nd C3T annual Workshop
The Center for Cellular Cancer Therapy (C3T) at Karolinska Institutet successfully hosted its 2nd annual Workshop on September 4–5, 2025 at Vår Gård Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden. This year’s meeting built on the success of the first workshop, featuring talks from internationally recognized scientists and participation from clinicians, researchers, and students from Karolinska Institutet, Institutions across Sweden and abroad. We were particularly happy to welcome a contingent of students and researchers from the Leibniz Institute of Immunotherapy in Regensburg, Germany, including their Scientific Director Professor Philipp Beckhove. The Workshop worked as a meeting point for intresting discussions and collaborative talks across basic, translational, and clinical research dedicated to advancing cellular therapies for cancer.
Key sessions and topics
The program was organized into 3 sessions:
- Session 1: Lymphosyte differentiation
- Session 2: Tumor microenvironment
- Session 3: Cellular based immunotherapies

Event success and future plans
The 2nd C3T Annual Workshop made even stronger the growing network of experts and trainees working at the immunology and cancer therapy. Participants took that initiaive for increasing their interactions with other researchers, for high-quality presentations, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.
We would like to thank all speakers, attendees, and of course the Swedish Research Council for contributing to another successful Workshop. Planning is already on its way for the 3rd Annual C3T Workshop; we look forward to welcoming you next year!
