Anna Bonnevier

I am an Educational Developer at Karolinska Institutet, working at the Unit for teaching and learning. My research is affiliated to the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics. My research focus is on higher education pedagogy, particularly on how students develop understanding and how teachers can facilitate that process.

I have a Ph.D. in Education from Stockholm University. My doctoral thesis,  Understanding learning and learning for understanding, explored medical students’ experiences of learning and understanding, emphasize the complexity of the relationship between student learning and the teaching-learning environment. The research advocates for a holistic approach to learning that includes reflection, reasoning, and contextual understanding of subject contents and theories. [su.diva-portal.org]

My current research projects include peer teaching in medical education, teachers' experiences of team-based learning and landscapes of practice.
