General information
The TapeStation is an automatic electrophoresis device for RNA and DNA quality control, capable of running 1-16 samples at a given time. This is important for investigating RNA integrity after RNA isolation or sequencing library quality control.
The TapeStation has different ScreenTape kits for different size ranges (e.g., 1000bp / 5000bp), and detection sensitivities, the lowest being able to detect as little as 50 pg, while only requiring 1-2uL input material.
The run time is short and scales with the number of samples profiled, a single sample requiring 1-2 min, and 16 samples approximately 20min.
New users should contact the responsible person to receive an introduction and in case of problems or questions.
