The list is updated continuously during the year, with a breaking point in October every year in connection to the inauguration ceremony in Aula Medica.

Karl-Johan Malmberg has been appointed Professor of Immuno-Oncology at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology from 1 January 2027.
Panos N. Papapanou has been appointed Professor of Periodontology at the Department of Dental Medicine from 1 October 2026.
Joel Tärning has been appointed Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the Department of Laboratory Medicine from 1 September 2026.
Susanna Larsson has been appointed Professor of Environmental Medicine Epidemiology at the Institute of Environmental Medicine from 1 September 2026.
Theo Bodin has been appointed Professor of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the Institute of Environmental Medicine from 24 August 2026.

Installation Ceremony in Aula Medica
In autumn every year, Karolinska Institutet arranges an Installation Ceremony where new professors at KI are presented and academic prizes are delivered. Next Installation Ceremony will be held in October 2027.
