Nanomedicine and Spatial Biology – Teixeira Lab

We are interested in understanding the roles of spatial organization in biological processes. To this end, we develop new tools that enable characterization of the spatial organization of biomolecules from nanoscale to single cell to tissue levels. Building on the principles of DNA and protein self-assembly, we develop methods to modulate the nanoscale spatial organization and valency of biomolecules to control membrane receptor functions.
