Step 4: Admission to doctoral education and contract of employment

The fourth step in the admission process for supervisors at MedH is explained here.

When the recruitment process is complete (see Step 3), the recruiting manager is allowed to accept the candidate to doctoral education at MedH. The process for submitting the application is explained below.

Admission to doctoral education, application

1. The recruiting manager completes the form Decision of admission to doctoral education*

*If the admission concerns a clinical doctoral student employed by Region Stockholm, a certificate is needed from the Head of Clinic, confirming that time and resources will be available for the doctoral education
*For PhD students, employed by other employer than Region Stockholm, an agreement with KI/external part is mandatory before admission

2. The recruiting manager submits the form to the Education Administrator for doctoral education at MedH, Ulrika Markne

3. Decisions are made on an ongoing basis. Ulrika Markne will supply the recruiting manager and doctoral student with the admission decision

The admission is approved by the Head of Department at MedH and the Director of Doctoral education at MedH.

Employment contract

The employment contract is written one year at a time. The salary level is set and regulated in a local, Swedish collective agreement.
