Step 2: Establishment of doctoral position at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge
The second step in the admission process for supervisors at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge (MedH) is explained here.
Once the Green Light is approved (see Step 1), it's time for the supervisor to submit an application for the establishment of doctoral position.
Note! The application must be submitted to the administration for doctoral education two weeks prior to the meeting when decision is made.
Meetings are held once a month and the application for the Establishment of doctoral position is reviewed by the Board of doctoral education at MedH.
Steps for the Establishment of doctoral position
1. The supervisor completes the form Establishment of doctoral position*
*If it concerns a clinical PhD student (employed by Region Stockholm) the Head of the clinic needs to sign the financing plan.
*For PhD students employed by other employer than Region Stockholm, an agreement between KI/external part is mandatory before admission.
*Approved application for KID funding may be attached to the application for Establishment of doctoral position.
Note! It is possible to claim exemption from advertising the doctoral position. The claim for exemption needs to be clearly motivated in the form.
2. The supervisor submits the application to the administration for doctoral education at MedH, forskarutbildning-medh@ki.se. In addition to the mandatory appendices specified on the application, MedH also request ethical permits (the applications and the decisions).
3. The approved establishment of doctoral position will be provided by the education administration.

The application must be submitted no later than 10 working days before the meeting.
