Education on basic- and advanced level at the Department of Laboratory Medicine
The Department of Laboratory Medicine is one of the largest departments of education at KI. We have close to 400 full-time equivalent students and teach in 9 of KI's study programmes.
Program responsibility
The Department of Laboratory Medicine is responsible for the study programme in Biomedical Analytics and Master program in diagnostic cytology.

Other teaching assignments
A number of independent courses and executive and professional education are arranged at the Department of Laboratory Medicine. On behalf of the National Board of Health and Welfare, a knowledge test is also performed for biomedical analysts with training from countries in and outside the EU / EEA.
Exchange studies
The department is conducting extensive exchanges with a number of countries and with several study programmes at KI where students and teachers arrive from other countries and those from KI travel abroad, within exchange programme Erasmus.
