KIND (Center of Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Karolinska Institutet) is an internationally recognized center of excellence, conducting world-leading research, education, and development with the aim of improving the lives of individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families.

KIND is primarily funded through research grants awarded in tough competition with researchers across all fields.
“The funding for research in this area is disproportionately small compared to the scale of the challenges associated with neurodevelopmental disorders in society,” says Professor Sven Bölte, Director of KIND.
“There is an urgent need for change, and we put a lot of effort into being a strong voice for evidence-based solutions. Yet, there is very little funding for the work needed to spread knowledge throughout society. Innovative research projects also struggle to secure financial support.”
