Our Services within IMAS

General Services

Our general services are available for sub-studies based on IMAS, as well as for other projects.

• Guidance on register data: We offer expert advice on identifying and selecting the most appropriate register data for specific research questions, study designs, and methodological approaches.
• Practical support: We assist with ethics applications and data requests.
• Data cleaning services: We perform data cleaning of register data for research projects not based on IMAS, primarily of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency’s MiDAS data . This service is provided free of charge throughout 2025. From 2026 onward, applicable fees will be charged based on the time and resources required.
• Analysis support: We provide assistance with data analysis for projects not based on IMAS (statistician fees apply*).
• Syntax library: We provide syntax for managing selected variables and measures in register data.
• Lectures and courses: We offer training and professional development.

 Services for IMAS sub-studies

• Study design and study protocol development: We offer assistance with designing studies and preparing study protocols.
• Creation of analysis datasets: Customized analysis datasets are prepared by our team of statisticians (statistician fees apply*).
• On-site access to data for analyses: Researchers have the opportunity to conduct analyses on their customized datasets using secure computers located at the Division of Insurance Medicine. (More information about data access is available here.)
• Statistical analyses and results: Analyses are conducted by our statisticians, and results are provided (statistician fees apply*).
• Grant application support: We assist in retrieving relevant information for funding applications such as estimating the size of a proposed study population for IMAS sub-studies. Work exceeding 16 hours will incur fees.

*For services involving statisticians’ work, fees apply based on hourly rates depending on project type.
