The Swedish Conference of Clinical Psychology

The Swedish Conference of Clinical Psychology is an annual congress that aims to increase scientific communication, exchange, and collaboration between researchers in clinical psychology and science practitioners.

The SCCP congress invites attendees from all areas of clinical psychology interested in empirical research and evidence-based practice. The main focus of the conference is on psychological treatment research and the goals are to:

Increase outreach and collaboration. The SCCP is an arena for researchers and science practitioners from different areas and backgrounds to share the common pursuit of understanding, developing, and evaluating psychological treatments to facilitate and promote best clinical practice. 

Highlight best practices in clinical research and spread high-quality research methods. The SCCP promotes scientific rigor and novelty regardless of underlying theories or models.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between researchers and science practitioners across institutions, regions, and nations with a special focus on promoting early career researchers and clinicians. 

Conference

The SCCP 2024 will be a two-day conference on the 28 – 29 November at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. The final scientific program will be presented on November 14, 2024.

Presentations and submissions 

The SCCP 2024 will have keynote presentations, open paper presentations, symposia, and poster sessions. Submissions for open papers, symposia, and posters are submitted to the scientific committee online. All submissions should focus on psychological treatment research.  A proportion of presentation slots will be reserved for submissions from doctoral students.

Organization

The SCCP is governed by a steering committee, consisting of clinical researchers from different backgrounds and institutions. Karolinska Institutet is the institutional organization for the conference. All work is conducted pro bono.
