Gunnar Höglund and Anna-Stina Malmborg, the foundation's founder.

The KIPRIME Fellows Initiative

The KIPRIME Fellows Initiative is co-financed by the Gunnar Höglund and Anna-Stina Malmborg Foundation and Karolinska Institutet. It aims to nourish the next generation of KIPRIME winners by offering an inspirational curriculum of mentoring and development activities for midcareer medical education researchers.

Nominated by past KIPRIME winners, Fellows will represent an elite group of highly promising global talents who meet two criteria:

  • they lead strong scientific programs and
  • their profile and impact could be heightened through nurturing and networking.

Candidates for the KIPRIME

Through the KIPRIME Fellows Initiative, the Gunnar Höglund and Anna-Stina Malmborg Foundation and Karolinska Institutet, aim to support emerging candidates for the KIPRIME who reflect the gender and geographic diversity of the medical education research community. By creating an exclusive global network of KIPRIME ambassadors through successive cycles of the KIPRIME Fellows, the foundation and KI will realize its overarching goal of serving as a dynamic agent for promoting excellence in medical education research.

In alternating years with the KIPRIME award, the KIPRIME Fellows initiative will select 14 fellows to participate in a 3-day curriculum at Karolinska Institutet, led by past KIPRIME winners.
