Tal- och språkstörning hos barn och ungdomar

Tal- och språkstörning påverkar förmågan att kommunicera med omgivningen. Ofta har samma barn svårigheter inom flera olika områden som påverkar den kommunikativa förmågan, t ex talmotoriska svårigheter tillsammans med språkliga svårigheter, eller svårigheter inom språk-, koncentration- och läs- och skrivförmåga.

Våra forskningsprojekt rör barns och ungdomars kommunikativa förmåga, och konsekvenser av kommunikationssvårigheter i vardagen. Vi har projekt som beskriver och undersöker samförekomst av olika funktionsnedsättningar, projekt som syftar till att utveckla verktyg som kan användas kliniskt i bedömning av tal- och språksvårigheter, och projekt som utvecklar och utvärderar behandlingar.

Vi har också projekt som undersöker olika behandlingsformer för barn med språkstörning, hur olika grupper av lyssnare uppfattar barns avvikande tal, och hur skolbarn med språkstörning och koncentrationssvårigheter/ADHD berättar muntligt och skriftligt.
