Forskningsbeskrivning

Både kroniska svårläkta sår och psoriasis är utbredda sjukdomar som medför stegrande hälso- och ekonomiska bördor över hela världen i brist på effektiv behandling. Undersökning av rollen av regulatoriska RNA, till exempel mikroRNA och långa icke-kodande RNA, utgör ett växande koncept och ett lovande område för farmaceutiskt ingrepp. Målet för vårt laboratorium är att fastställa hur regulatoriska RNA påverkar huden vid sårläkning och vid psoriasis. Dessutom strävar vi efter att tillämpa grundläggande vetenskapliga fynd som terapeutiska ingrepp för patienter.
