Meet some of LIME's doctoral students
Anna Rossander, doctoral student at Health Informatics
I investigate how to use SNOMED CT, a very large medical terminology system, with different information models. In my research, I challenge the stance that we must all use the same model to share information. Instead, I investigate different ways to use SNOMED CT and how information can be transferred between structures.
Oskar Frisell, doctoral student at Health Economics and Economic Evaluation
Imagine three kids sharing a small ice cream budget. They all like different flavours, and some can't eat certain kinds of ice cream. My research is about figuring out how to choose the right ice cream for each kid and spend the money wisely. I do the same thing with medicines.
Danielle Berglund, doctoral student at NASP
My research focuses on understanding how artificial blue light affects people psychologically, emotionally, and behaviorally, with a particular interest in its potential role in preventing suicides in railway environments.
What makes this research particularly exciting is that it explores a relatively new and understudied area of suicide prevention.
Elias Schriwer, doctoral student at Lifelong Learning in Health Care Contexts
My project explores patient involvement in health professions education, which is when someone with a unique experience of sickness symptoms or healthcare is involved in education with the primary aim of educating. What stands out is that it highlights a revolution (or rather renaissance) in what is considered knowledge within the field of medical research and education, where lived experience as an expertise is being integrated more into education.
