SRP Diabetes has over the years promoted and supported innovation within diabetes and metabolism at Karolinska Institutet.
Several SRP Diabetes researchers pursue innovation and want to translate their research findings into products and treatments for improving health, read here about some examples of companies founded. SRP Diabetes has over the years promoted such endeavours and offered concrete innovation support for researchers at KI working within diabetes and metabolism. This has primarily been through a close collaboration with Karolinska Institutet Innovations during 6 years and although the formal agreement has now ended we still have close contact and can guide interested researchers to the innovation system at Karolinska Institutet. SRP Diabetes were also involved in forming the first national structure for innovation support in life sciences in Sweden, SWELife, where several initiatives and support mechanisms exist.
