Pathologists and cancer researchers wanted for AI research study!
The study “Reproducibility of Pathologist-Read and AI-Based ER Scoring in ER-Low Breast Cancer” aims to evaluate the reproducibility of estrogen receptor (ER) scoring in ER-low breast cancer using Pathologist-read ER scoring versus AI-based ER scoring operated by pathologists and non-pathologists.
We will compare scoring consistency across
- Different AI platforms
- Pathologists vs. non-pathologist breast cancer researchers
- Pathologist-read vs. AI-assisted scoring
Study Design
- 60 whole-slide resection specimens (ER-negative, ER-low, and ER-positive)
- Participants will be divided into groups based on their background and scoring method
- Scoring will follow ASCO-CAP guidelines
- AI scoring should be performed using any pre-existing tool (FDA-approved, CE-IVD, LDTs, or open-source)
How to Participate
We are currently recruiting:
- Board-certified pathologists and residents in pathology
- Breast cancer research experts with access to AI tools
Co-authorship will be granted to all participants who complete scoring for the full dataset.
