Community and health care response to child injury

Injuries are a serious threat to children’s development and may impede their right to live “full and dignified lives”. We seek to provide an evidence-base to address barriers experienced by the health sector in its response to pediatric intentional and unintentional injury care, and by communities in their readiness to the prevention of child maltreatment.

Community mobilisation to prevent childhood injuries

It is imperative to research how evidence-based interventions conceived in high-income countries can be implemented and sustained in low-resource settings. In a broad partnership, we aim to develop and test the feasibility, acceptability, and accessibility of an integrated package of community mobilisation interven-tions to prevent childhood injuries.
