About me

  • I am a researcher in human-computer interaction (HCI) and design, intrigued by the potential of emerging technology to serve diverse and socially asymmetric societies. I love diving into the messy, real-world side of tech, using qualitative and ethnographic methods. I also explore participatory design to co-create with the people my work is meant to support.

As a postdoc researcher with Håkansta group, along with other projects, I will be exploring the possibilities and challenges of designing 'Pro-worker (Physical) AI' that supports meaningful, collaborative interactions between humans and intelligent technologies, especially considering workers' embodied, situated knowledge and their bodily needs.

My qualifications include a PhD (DSV, Stockholm University),  a master's degree in human-computer interaction (IDC IITB), and another master's in computer science (Pune University).

My doctoral research in HCI was focused on contemporary work practices, such as gig work from the worker's perspective, particularly considering the economic aspects of their labor and how technologies try to shape work.

Research

  • I am currently focusing on

    • designing 'Pro-worker (Physical) AI'
    • Work, workers and emerging technologies
    • Future of work

I am also curious about the societal implications of algorithmic technologies on democracy and democratic structures.
