About me

  • I am a psychologist and postdoctoral researcher in the Women's Mental Health Epidemiology group at the Institute of Environmental Medicine (IMM). My research focuses on reproductive health in women with autism and ADHD, with the overarching goal of improving our understanding of reproductive health problems, trajectories, and their underlying determinants among neurodivergent women.

This research program combines large-scale Swedish nationwide register data and primary care data with cohort studies to examine contributing factors, patterns of healthcare use, and long-term health consequences across the lifespan.

My work in psychiatric epidemiology is grounded in a strong commitment to improving mental health and healthcare equity for women and neurodivergent individuals—particularly those whose needs have historically been underrepresented or overlooked in both research and clinical practice.

Research

  • I am leading a research program focused on women’s mental and reproductive health in the context of neurodevelopmental conditions, particularly autism and ADHD. This program draws on large-scale Swedish register-based data, primary care data, and cohort studies to examine reproductive health trajectories, contributing factors, and long-term health consequences among neurodivergent women. The overarching aim is to better characterize reproductive health in this population, identify underlying causes and downstream consequences, and ultimately contribute to improved care and reduced health inequalities.

I try to share insights from my research through blog posts, podcasts, and other media that are accessible for the broader public. Explore some of the highlights below to learn more about my work:
