Virus room
The Virusroom is shared departments and units in Neo. All users are responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Access to the Virusroom requires an approved LA anmälan (“L notification” or “L report”) to the Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) for activities involving genetically modified microorganisms (GMM). The “L” stands for “L-verksamhet” (Level 2 activity) according to Swedish regulations. This notification or report must be in place before gaining access to the room. For help and guidance with the L report, please contact the department biosafety representative.
The responsible person for the Virusroom is available to assist with introductions to the room and to provide general guidance on rules, regulations, experimentation, and biosafety.
