Human Resources

The HR unit at MBB helps the research groups with:

  • Support to managers
  • Support in questions regarding employment matters such as illness, leave of absence, salary issues, performance management, holidays, benefits and regulations.
  • Support in questions regarding travels and expenses
  • Support in the process of recruiting new employees, both advisory and administrative, and with employment contracts.
  • Rehabilitation due to longer sick leave and contacts with the Occupational Health Service
  • Opportunities for employees who experience problems in work or in the workgroup, for example regarding work environment, harassment or illness to contact HR.

The financial unit at MBB helps the research groups with:

  • Budget, both for grant applications and for the groups as a whole
  • Follow up of finances for the group together with the PI twice a year or when needed
  • The financial parts of agreements regarding grants and commissions
  • To make requisitions and reporting to financiers and financial management of ongoing EU-projects and federal American grants
  • General financial matters regarding e.g. INDI, accounts, projectnumbers, bookings etc

The administrational staff within HR and Finance are available in quarter A3 at least three days a week. Please check availability in the Outlook calendar (“Working elsewhere”) or Teams’ status message. All staff within HR and Finance are available on Mondays and Wednesdays.
