a course with case management in the transition from adolescence to adulthood for individuals diagnosed with ADHD and/or Autismspectrumdisorders (ASD)

Support in the transition to adulthood

The project is a newly developed course that target individuals in the ages between 17 and 24 years old that have been diagnosed with ADHD and/or ASD. The purpose of the project is to provide information, tools and support in the transition to adulthood in order to increase independence and participation in everyday life and prevent marginalization. The project is under development and the pilot started in spring 2015. It aims to result in a standardized and manualized program that can be administered flexibly in various contexts and organizations.

Psychoeducation and training to counteract mental illness and exclusion

The project use a preventative method where psychoeducation (both in groups and alone with case manager) and practical exercises complement each other. The participants will have the opportunity to practice constructive problem solving strategies in situations that may be challenging for the target population. The program is intended for individuals that have previously participated in programs such as KONTAKT, PEGASUS or SCOPE (only swedish version).

The project is a collaboration between:

  • BUP Stockholm
  • Stockholm Norra Psykiatri (ADHD-mottagningen)
  • Trygg Hansa
