Collaborative Awards 2025 within the KI-Mayo collaboration announced
Collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and Mayo Clinic deepend at the end of 2011 when a formal comprehensive agreement was signed. The agreement expanded the collaboration to include innovation and administration, in addition to research and education. Since then, special project and travel grants have been advertised to further the collaboration.
Now, the individuals set to receive funding 2025 have been announced. The steering committee for the KI-Mayo Clinic partnership were the deciding body.
Recipients of the KI-Mayo Collaborative Award
- Dr. Erik Middlebrookst (MC) and Dr. Tobias Granberg (KI) for their project Advancing Ultra-High Field MRI for Neuroimaging
- Dr. Eoin Flanagan (MC) and Dr. Katarina Fink (KI) for their project Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease in the region of Stockholm, Sweden
- Drs. Brian Pickering &Vitaly Herasevich (MC) and Drs. Pontus Naucler & John Karlsson Valik (KI) for their project Data-driven precision medicine for improved sepsis surveillance
- Dr. Kent Jardemark (KI), Mr. Patrik Fridh (KI) and Dr. Doo-Sup Choi (MC) for their project Investigating Neuroinflammation and Cognitive Dysfunction: Exploring LRP1 Pathways and Gliotransmitter Modulation in the Hippocampus
