Exhibitions and activities at The Cell

At The Cell, you can take part in exhibitions, tours and talks on exciting topics related to life science. In May 2025, a new exhibition will open on the theme of human behaviour.

The Cell is a unique meeting place for life science, where you can take part in guided tours, exhibitions, talks and also organise events. Art is at the centre as a method to explore and understand the interaction between life science, technology and innovation.

Activities at The Cell are free of charge.

New exhibition in 2025

During April, The Cell will be closed for the construction of a new exhibition on human behaviour. The exhibition will open on 16 May and run until September 2026.

In its first year, The Cell's theme was existence, with an exhibition by Helen Pynor.

Scientists show art

An experience of art through a scientific lens, in the borderland between art and science. A researcher from Karolinska Institutet shows the artworks exhibited in The Cell, providing a unique opportunity to see the world through the eyes of both artist and scientist.

Life Science Bar

A platform for dialogue on topical issues related to human health, life science research and technology.

Contribute as a doctoral student or researcher

For doctoral students or researchers at KI, The Cell is an opportunity to communicate research to a wider audience. Together with artists and the Museum of Technology's educators, we can offer interesting and inspiring activities such as exhibitions, performances and talks.
