Projects in the COMBAT-MS study

COMBAT-MS core cohort is a prospective study following estimated 3700 MS patients for a minimum of three years, including all Sweden's seven university hospital clinics. We will add on blood samples for measuring anti-drug antibodies (ADA) yearly and scales for patient reported outcomes.

COMBAT-MS extended is registry-based study following all RRMS starting first or second line treatment from 1st Jan 2011 – 30th Sep 2017, estimated n=6000 including all neurology clinics in Sweden, using a subset of data from the MS part (Swedish MS registry, SMSreg) of the Swedish Neuroregistries.

Epidemiological study using entire cohort, n=15845 out of estimated n=20000 (79%) with linkage of SMSreg data to several compulsory Swedish nationwide health registries which comprises all patients alive regardless of treatment, disease onset or disease status.
