The ABZ of Medical Ethics

This book addresses questions like: In what situations is it ethically justifiable to end life-sustainable treatment? Who will decide if the patient itself is not capable of doing so? Does the doctor always know what is best for the patient? Who will receive intensive care if resources are limited? Who should decide what medical investigations and treatment the patient will receive?

This book is intended for staff with many years of clinical experience in health care, both with and without experience of teaching. The book is also intended for students within different health care trainings, and for an interested general public.

Nils Lynöe is a retired general practicing physician and Senior Professor in Medical Ethics at Karolinska Institutet. Niklas Juth is a moral philosopher and Professor in Medical Ethics at Uppsala University.

Please note that the book is in Swedish.
