How to apply

Karolinska Institutet advertises job vacancies that are open to all qualified applicants. To apply for a vacant position, click on the application button, which is located at the bottom of each ad. You will find the ads at Jobs at KI. All applications are made electronically in our recruitment system.

To facilitate the assessment of the applications, all applicants shall use Karolinska Institutet's Qualifications portfolio for teachers and researchers when applying. Only the qualifications that the applicant has gained before the end of the application period are evaluated.

Expert assessment

When the application period is over, all the applications are reviewed by external experts. The expert assessment takes about 4-6 weeks, in some cases, longer. The Recruitment committee can decide that it is manifestly unnecessary to obtain expert assessment for some applicants. 

Interview

When the expert assessment is obtained, Karolinska Institutet selects which candidates to invite for an interview. The interview is held by the Recuitment Committee, and afterwards the Recuitment Committee will decide who to recommend for the appointment. 

Decision on employment 

When a decision of employment has been made, it will be announced on the authority's digital bulletin board at Nobels väg 6, Solna.
