Om mig

Jag är professor i medicinsk etik, med bakgrund i praktisk filosofi. Jag disputerade på en avhandling om värdeantaganden i ekonomisk teori vid Uppsala universitet hösten 2002, men har sedan dess forskat och undervisat i medicinsk etik.    

Mitt huvudsakliga forskningsintresse är forskningsetik, särskilt forskningsfusk och andra avvikelser från god forskningssed, normativa frågor relaterade till respekt för autonomi och olika frågor om hur forskningsintresset ska vägas mot försökspersonens/patientens skyddsintresse och intresse av att tillgodogöra sig forskningens landvinningar.

Liksom mina kolleger på Stockholm Centre for Healthcare Ethics (CHE) är jag intresserad av att kombinera teoretisk filosofisk forskning med empirisk forskning - om praxis och värderingar.

Forskningsbeskrivning

Mest aktuellt just nu är att tillsammans med kolleger på Karolinska Institutet, Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH), Stockholms universitet, Göteborgs universitet och Högskolan i Borås driva ett gemensamt forskningsprogram om värde- och normrelaterade praktiska och principiella hinder mot personcentrering i sjukvården, finansierat av Forte och Vetenskapsrådet. Denna forskning har både teoretiska och empiriska inslag och genomförs i samarbete med kliniker inom primärvård, barndiabetes och äldrepsykiatri.

Samtidigt pågår forskning om plagiering, erfarenheter av forskningsfusk och felaktig hantering av vetenskapligt författarskap samt i vilken mån distinktionen mellan forskning och behandling är normativt relevant.
