Measuring and Valuing Health: Getting the most out of Patient-Reported Outcomes

Health Economic Forum at Uppsala University (HEFUU) in collaboration Stockholm Centre for Healthcare Ethics at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics at Karolinska Institutet are happy to invite to a two-day course on Patient-Reported Outcomes Measures (PROMs) in Uppsala, 11th and 12th of June 2018. The course is led by Nancy Devlin, Professor at University of Sheffield and Director of Research at the Office of Health Economics in UK. Professor Devlin is renowned for her skills in using PROMs to improve health care, and she will share her great knowledge and experience at the course.

Professor Devlin will offer a two-day course in PROMs, which will include an extensive discussion of PROMs in general (11th) and of EQ-5D in particular (12th).

The number of participants is limited in order to create the best prerequisite for good discussions. Therefore, we encourage anyone interested in this course to sign up as soon as possible via the HEFUUs homepage ( We will ask you who sign up for the course to respond to a few questions about your experience of PROMs and your expectations of the course. This information will help Nancy Devlin to design the course to best meet your needs and interests. The cost for the course including two lunches and four coffee breaks is 1.000 SEK for PhD students, 2.000 SEK for researchers at universities and 5.000 SEK for others.

The Health Economic Forum at Uppsala University ( is an interdisciplinary venue for researchers at Uppsala University interested in health economics, coming from both economics and the medical faculty.
