About digital profiling of core facilities
The "about" page should contain basic information about the core facility, including location, team members and contact details. If you believe the history of your facility is interesting to your clients in some way, this is where you inform them – at the bottom of the page.
Start with a very short version of the presentation used on the "our offer" page. Example text: The Digital Profiling Core Facility (DPCF) provide very useful services, using state-of-the-art technology within the very complex biomedical research area. The DPCF offers solutions at all stages of your research project, from the designing of experiments to test runs and data delivery. It is also possible to rent our equipment on site.
Then continue to present your staff, director, where to find you etc. Separate the different blocks by using subtitles in the format linked H2. Avoid alienating your visitor by presenting your whole staff with photos, full CV and confusing contact details. Your main goal is still to make the visitors interested in your facility – so that they contact you and sign up for your services!

If you have a very proud history, this may be of some interest to your visitors. For example, if you use a technique awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, or if Charles Darwin no less founded your facility in 1859. It is, however, advisable to avoid boring your visitor with a long and winding story about your background.
If you have collaborations with other core facilities or hospitals and/or a few important funders, this could be the page to present it. You can use one or two subtitles with format linked H2, depending on how much information you need to present.
