Thorhalla Sigurdadottir
About me
I am a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a Master of Science degree in nursing the critically ill. Currently, I work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Emergency Nursing at Akureyri Hospital in Iceland, where I apply my knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care in high-pressure environments. My role involves not only direct patient care but also mentoring and supporting other nursing staff and nursing students, ensuring best practices are followed in emergency settings.
In addition to my clinical work, I am an Adjunct at the University of Akureyri, where I contribute to the education and training of future nurses. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with nursing students, helping to shape the next generation of nursing professionals.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to advancing the field of nursing through both practice and research and I am looking forward in specialising in simulation-based learning for nursing students.
