About me

  • I am an Associate Professor of public health (docent) in the group Epidemiology of Psychiatric Conditions, Substance use and Social Environment (EPICSS), at the department for Global Public Health. I am also a clinical psychologist and work clinically in specialist addiction care at Riddargatan 1, mottagningen för alkohol och hälsa at Stockholm Centre for Dependency Disorders (www.riddargatan1.se [1]).

Research

  • My research focuses around development, effects and long-term outcomes of  health care intervention to prevent and treat alcohol use disorders. My main  focus is on individuals with moderate severity of alcohol dependence.

     

    Moreover, I lead projects on the utilization of evidence-based treatments. I am also interested in treatment seeking for alcohol use disorders and  interventions to increase treatment seeking with special focus on stigma.

Teaching

  • My teaching mainly focusses around epidemiology, prevention and treatment of
    alcohol use disorders.
    I teach at:
    - Clinical Psychologist program at Karolinska Institutet
    - Center for Psychiatry Research in Stockholm, mainly health care staff
