About me
I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (MEB) at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, within the HER-CARE Doctoral Network. My PhD research focused on developing AI-based models for breast cancer risk prediction using mammography, breast MRI, and epidemiological data. The broader aim of my doctoral research is to contribute to more accurate, personalized, and risk-adapted strategies for breast cancer screening and early detection.
Before joining Karolinska Institutet, I worked at Institut Curie in Paris as a computational oncology researcher. There, I developed computational approaches to investigate the tumor microenvironment by integrating spatial transcriptomics, single-cell RNA sequencing, histopathology, and statistical and machine-learning methods.
My research experience spans Karolinska Institutet, Institut Curie, CNRS, and Radboud University Medical Center, covering a broad range of biomedical AI applications. These include breast cancer risk prediction, tumor immune exclusion, biomarker prediction from whole-slide histopathology images, spatial and single-cell omics, real-time MR image reconstruction, and medical image segmentation and registration.
My research interests center on developing robust, interpretable, multimodal, and clinically meaningful AI methods for cancer risk prediction, early detection, patient stratification, and precision medicine. I am particularly interested in bridging methodological innovation with real-world clinical and population-level data to develop AI systems that can ultimately contribute to improved clinical decision-making and patient care.
