Jessica Edstorp

I am a postdoc in environmental epidemiology at the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska institutet. In my postdoc project I estimate exposure-response relationships for long-term exposure to transportation noise and incidence of type 2 diabetes. Of specfic interest is potential interaction with air pollution as well as investigating etiological mechanisms in mediation analyses of components of the metabolic syndrome or sleep disturbances. I defended my PhD thesis entitled "Infections, antibiotics, tobacco, genetic factors and risk of LADA – latent autoimmune diabetes in adults, and type 2 diabetes" at Karolinska Institutet in May 2024.
