    2014-2023 and at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway 2012-2013.
    Also active as a primary care physician in Vällingby, educated at Karolinska
    from 1973.
    Researcher in Tumour Biology at KI 1975-85.
    Started Centre for Health Telematics, at KI 1996 with research in information
    security, interoperability and ontology.
    Recipient of the European Prix Assis 2012 as a person that has had the
    greatest influence on Information security for health.

Research

  • Presently empowerment of patients using ICT including studies on Patient
    access to Electronic Health Records eg. in the NordeHealth project with
    Sweden, Norway, Finland and Estonia.
    Interoperability for clinical care and for clinical research, see EHR4CR.EU.
    Decision support, early on when the GDL language was developed with openEHR
    and recently in the EU-project C3-Cloud with decision support for care of
    elderly with multiple chronic diseases.
    Mobile health support for treatment of HIV and tuberculosis in Mozambique.
    Information Security with the introduction of Public Key Infrastructure.
