Anahita Amirpour

I'm enrolled in the Research School of Health Science (2021-2025), and my current research focuses on delayed neurocognitive recovery and neurocognitive disorder after surgery. My project is part of the PeriBrainCare research group, and I work under the supervision of Professor Ulrica Nilsson.

In 2022, I served as an elected student representative for the Committee of Doctoral Education and the Dissertation Committee.

My studies:

Study I: Comparability study with analog and digital neurocognitive tests, with cognitively healthy older adults. Study completed.

Study 2: Clinical mixed-methods study with blood-borne biomarkers, neurocognitive tests and qualitative interviews conducted at Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm with older adult patients undergoing orthopedic surgery. Under review.

Study 3: Clinical feasibility study at Ersta Hospital, Stockholm with older adult patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Data analysis ongoing.

Study 4: Systematic review "Investigating the association between psychological factors and postoperative neurocognitive recovery". We are currently screening articles. Please read our PROSPERO study protocol 

Founded and hosted the popular-scientific podcast in Swedish called Specialistpodden 2018-2019.
