About me

  • Amani works as Adjunct at the Unit for teaching and learning and affliated reseracher at the department of Leaning, Informatics, Mangement and Ethics at Karolinska Institutet. Amani is a Doctor of pharmacology with focus on neuro-psychopharmacology, after PhD graduation I have been active in the fields of pharmacology, Pharmaco-epidemiology, Global Health, and Medical Education for more than 20 years of research and teaching experience. I am not shy of a challenge and particularly enjoy working with a focused and creative team to meet goals and deadlines. I project lead with trust and high expectations. I am fearless, confident and competent and I am delighted to read and interpret science with the purpose of communicating it to the public, clinicians, management or experts.

Research

  • Amani Eltayb’s research interests span pharmacology , pharmacoepidemiology, global health, reproductive health, and medical education. Her work often addresses drug use and resistance, prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, and broader international public health challenges. She also specializes in experimental studies for novel pharmacological treatments (notably in schizophrenia), and has contributed significantly to educational practice through teaching, supervision, and curriculum development within health sciences at Karolinska Institutet.

    Additionally, Eltayb is involved in researching maternal and reproductive health (including support for migrant women), as well as lifelong learning and professional development in healthcare contexts. Her multifaceted expertise is applied in both research and educational leadership at KI
