Welcome to our open Global Bridges activities in October!
Global Bridges is an initiative in which junior researchers at KI (or a group of researchers) can invite an established international researcher in health sciences to Sweden for a week. The aim is to support the career development of junior researchers and to create both international networks and long-term research collaborations.
Our invited researchers will give open seminars, lectures, and workshops at KI.

The Hidden Curriculum in Health Proffessions Education
The Medical Education Research Network at KI are delighted to invite you to a seminar with Professor Tina Martimianakis from the Wilson Centre, University of Toronto, one of the leading scholars in health professions education. She will lead an interactive seminar on one of the most fascinating and influential concepts in health professions education: the hidden curriculum.

Patient and Public Involvement in Practice: What Healthcare Researchers Can Learn from Aphasia Research
A seminar with Marina Charalamobous, Cyprus University. Malin Bauer, Uppsala University. Kajsa Söderhielm, Karolinska Institutet. Mathilda Cederlund, the Aphasia Association.
The seminar provides an introduction to PPI, followed by practical examples from the field of aphasia. To include the perspective of lived experience, Matilda Cederlund, who has aphasia following a stroke and has taken part in co-designing a training app, will share her expertise together with researchers from Cyprus and Sweden.

Collaborations in research - Experiences, knowledge and lessons learned from 3 continents
Take the opportunity for globalization at home! Within the framework of Global Bridges, Professor Nodoka Yamauchi from Japan, Professor Mélanie Levasseur from Canada and Dr. Marina Charalambous from Cyprus will visit KI.
During the seminar, they will share their experiences of co-creative processes and interdisciplinary research in areas such as assistive technology research, older people's social inclusion and rehabilitation.
