Center for Alzheimer Research
The Center for Alzheimer Research is a hub for all research with relevance for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias at Karolinska Institutet. The main goal of our research is to understand the mechanisms behind Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, to be able to prevent, diagnose and treat these disorders. Research at the Center for Alzheimer research is preclinical as well as clinical and integrates work from the molecular level to populations studies.

Sex and gender differences in dementia
Center for Alzheimer Research (CAR) has started a working group on sex and gender differences in dementia. The group is led by Shireen Sindi and Daniel Ferreira, assistant professors at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics.
