About the Post COVID Network

The network is interdisciplinary and multi-professional and combines expertise from diverse medical disciplines, professions, and research areas, including aspects from cell to society, within the aftermath of the pandemic.

Mission 

The goal is to establish an interdisciplinary network about PCC and the long-term consequences of the pandemic, comprising researchers, doctoral students, postdocs, and clinical practitioners. The aim of this network is to promote collaboration and scientific exchange in the field of PCC, to enhance translational research from basic science to implementation in this field to develop therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions to enhance recovery. We will stimulate research collaborations between different KI departments and disseminate knowledge to stakeholders and the general public. This interdisciplinary approach will provide a unique platform and infrastructure for KI researchers to engage in innovative and important research on the long-term effects of COVID-19. This platform will also enhance further collaboration both on a national and international level.

Specific goals 

  • Facilitate collaboration among researchers to understand the underlying mechanisms of post-COVID-19 condition and thereby aiming at new and curative, forms of precision-based treatment and rehabilitation.
     
  • Promote knowledge transfer and public engagement through conferences, webinars, and collaborations with healthcare providers and the general public. 
     
  • To stimulate junior researchers to create new networks for their future career.
