The Department of Global Public Health is a multidisciplinary department with the aim to advance knowledge about challenges and opportunities for public health in a local, national, and global setting. This includes studying how societal phenomena affect health in a globalized world and translating research evidence into public health action.

Who needs vitamin supplements?
Listen to Susanne Rautiainen Lagerström in episode #107 of Medicinvetarna, answering questions from listeners about when vitamin supplements may be needed, in specific deficiency situations, whether vitamin D can reduce the risk of severe COVID disease (there is as yet no clear scientific evidence for this) or when too much can actually be harmful (for persons with cancer or increased risk of cancer).

The sustainable developement goals are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for the year 2030.
