Porphyrins and phototherapy of oral bacteria
The aim is to investigate the influence of phototherapy on gingival inflammation and to investigate the chemical porphyrin in different bacteria. The specific aim is to evaluate if phototherapy with LED:s mounted in toothbrushes, used in daily oral care, can reduce oral microorganisms and gingival inflammation.
Peri-implantitis - a novel treatment method and a clinical application
This project aims to evaluate a diode laser in combination with scaling and rootplaning in the treatment of peri-implantitis. Patient’s experience will also be analysed and the gene profile between periodontitis and peri-implantitis patients will be investigated.
