KI Student-Alumni Mentorship Programme

The KI Student–Alumni Mentorship Programme provides the opportunity for alumni to engage in a student’s development by sharing their experiences from working life or academia. By contributing your perspectives, you support the student in reflecting on their future while also gaining new insights and strengthening your connection to KI.

Why participate as a mentor?

  • Share your experiences from working life or research
  • Support a student in their reflections on future career paths
  • Contribute to students’ understanding of the labour market
  • Develop your own skills in communication and reflection
  • Expand your professional network
  • Maintain and strengthen your connection to KI

How the mentorship programme works

In the KI mentorship programme, you are matched with a student at KI. The matching is based on the information provided in your application.

Four meetings over seven months

The programme runs for seven months, from October to April. During this period, you and your mentee are expected to meet on at least four occasions. The format is flexible and decided together. Meetings can take place digitally, on campus, or elsewhere.

Kick-off event in October

The programme begins with a joint introductory meeting in October, where you will meet your mentee for the first time. During the meeting, you will receive shared support, clear expectations, and a framework for how to approach the mentorship.

Closing event in April

The programme concludes with a joint closing event in April.
