Recap from the XXIst Cancer Research KI Retreat
The XXIst Cancer Research Retreat organized by Cancer Research KI took place on the 23-24th of September 2024. The retreat hosted 260 participants, including KI students, post-docs, clinical fellows, and supervisors with an interest in cancer research across KI.
The two-day event included presentations by the keynote speakers Prof. Clare Isacke (Institute of Cancer Research, London), Prof. Caroline Verbeke (Oslo University) and Prof. Raza Ali (University of Cambridge). Furthermore, the program featured presentations by junior and senior researchers, 45-second poster pitches, and a series of parallel break-out sessions on patient perspectives or providing the possibility to meet one of our keynote speakers in a small group. The vibrant poster session featured 90 posters and after a thorough evaluation, Peng Cui (Department of Oncology-Pathology) secured the 1st poster prize.
The next Cancer Research KI retreat is planned on 22-23rd of September 2025.
